eterio 220 RA1 server is a powerful two-processor configuration in a 2U RACK chassis, based on Intel Xeon Scalable processors. It offers a wide range of processors for a wide range of applications, and 24 slots for DDR4 memory modules to support large RAM capacities. The expansion slots are available for standard PCI Express cards while in addition you can use network cards in OCP format or disk controllers in the form of mezzanine cards mounted in dedicated sockets directly on the motherboard.
Processors
Intel Xeon Scalable processors is a new family of products with diverse performance and functionality. Depending on the features they have been divided into classes: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. They differ in the number of cores, the base frequency, the presence or absence of Turbo mechanisms, the number of built-in units for floating point calculations (AVX-512 FMA units), the number of UPI connectors and even the max speed and capacity of supported RAM. They have built-in network interfaces (Ethernet) and support more PCIe lines than the previous generation. Among the multiple models, you can choose the one which perfectly suits your needs.
Memory
The server supports DDR4 Registered DIMM ECC (RDIMM), and Load Reduced DIMM (LRDIMM) with operating frequencies depending on the type of processor used and the available bandwidth of the UPI link. The 2400 MHz, 2666 MHz and 2933 MHz modules are available. In total up to 1,5TB RAM in 24 RDIMM modules or 3TB RAM in LRDIMM modules is supported. The modules can work in max. 6-channel configurations – this is the optimal setup for best performance.
Storage
Server supports: SATA HDD/SSD – there is build-in SATA controller on mainboard. For SAS support you need add-in card: SAS/SATA HBA or SAS/SATA RAID adater available as mezzanine module or standard PCI Express adapter. There is also possibility of supporting 2,5″ NVMe drives – mainboard offers 4 connectors for NVMe cables and additional drives cab be supported in 2,5″ chassis – when add-on adapters are used.
Chassis
2U RACK chassis is available in many variants allowing flexible selection of disks for installation. There are two versions available that support standard 3.5 “disks: max 8 or max 12 SAS / SATA hot-swap disks, while 2.5” drives are available for configurations with 8 discs 2.5 “(SFF) SAS / SSD / NVMe hot-swap (expandable up to 16 bays) or 24-disk version. The chassis allows the use of PCI Express expansion cards in the amount and type depending on the “riser” cards used. The standard chassis is equipped with a single 1300W power supply, but you can add a second one achieve redundancy.
